This chapter makes a case for developing sustainable AI art(s) education in response to GenAI’s rapidly expanding creative possibilities. Here, sustainability provides an umbrella concept encompassing ecological, social, cultural, economic, political, and technological dimensions—along with aesthetic and pedagogical ones. Examining GenAI through this comprehensive lens allows for the reframing of critical questions about its role as it partakes in the aesthetic meaning-making in the actor-networks.
