Tehran 11 February 2020, the 41st anniversary of the Iranian revolution of 1979 followed by the 40-day commemoration of the death of General Qasem Soleimani. A celebration show was full of meaning forged from the DNA of the Islamic revolution and its founding father Ayatollah Khomeini. It should also be mentioned that a fraction of Iranian youth “no longer” shares this ideal of the Imamate’s DNA for various and varied reasons. This collective feeling of the Iranian youth thus crosses the aspirations of the youth of the Arab world in the aftermath of the “Arab Spring”. This observation leads me to introduce the concept of generational split specific to the millennial generations of the Muslim world. This ceremony celebrated a symbol of the figure of the hero raised to the rank of martyr and marks with a heavy red line, the Islamic Republic’s conditioning to strengthen its asymmetric warfare in the region.
