Practicing physician education can provide a particular challenge to ultrasound (US) directors since they are a different type of learners than a resident physician. This chapter focuses on understanding the learning differences between a postgraduate residency-trained physician and a practice pathway-trained physician. It also provides resources for education, assessment, and recommendations for the continued growth/maintenance of ultrasound skills.
