Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) has become broadly integrated into clinical care across medical specialties. This has created an obligation to develop education and training programs to support safe and high-quality practice. This chapter discusses learning theories and paradigms applicable to ultrasound education, describes common elements of curricular design frameworks, and outlines educational strategies frequently utilized in POCUS training, including game-design elements and other methods to increase learner engagement.
