Precambrian Fixism or Plate Tectonics? Venezuela Leads the Way
摘要
The availability of radiometric data and the upsurge of the plate tectonics concept in the 1960ies and 1970ies led to the first ideas about the tectonic history of the Guiana Shield as a whole. Some authors maintained that Precambrian tectonics were different than at present, citing authors working in the Archean of southern Africa, others directly transposed Phanerozoic plate tectonic processes to the Precambrian.
