Trauma Bay Development and Design Designed to Perform: How Simulation Can Inform the Design of Elite Trauma Resuscitation Environments
摘要
An intelligent and purposefully designed trauma resuscitation environment may be the difference between life and death. A high-performing team requires a highly functional space. We describe an evidence-based design approach that links the people, the equipment, and the environment necessary for the delivery of exceptional trauma care. Following a design-build-train-excel framework, we outline how simulation-informed clinical design and design thinking techniques are essential to improve clinical outcomes and how they represent the future of the built environment for trauma care.
