This involves providing fair and equal treatment for all individuals, particularly vulnerable or marginalized groups, such as pregnant patients. Despite ongoing efforts and policies aimed at promoting health equity, significant disparities in maternal healthcare persist. The perioperative management and care of critically ill pregnant patients requires a multidisciplinary approach that considers the unique physiological changes of pregnancy, the severity of the patient’s condition, and the specific competencies of the healthcare team.
