Having come about in the 1990s, benefit realization management is a relatively new, but proven concept for assessing and managing impacts of the projects. While introducing it into the existing organization structure may not be easy and does not come for free, the benefits yielding from having it in place outweighs the cost and pays off in a long term. The benefit realization management is discussed based on Nordic e-Infrastructure Collaboration, a global role model in its implementation across the entire organization.
