Regardless the term used to describe the profession, the main, universal characteristics of this group of specialists are strong cooperation with the patient, the necessity and consequent capability to operate the complex HI equipment, a keen interest in novel technologies and the ability to assess the estimated study outcome based on the images obtained during the scanning. Among all medical professions, this particular group came the longest way, evolving from briefly trained and adjusted to the position of medical workers to widely established, highly developed specialists.
