Introduction: Refugee Assistance, Central European Identity, and the Question of History
摘要
The 2022 Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, based on the politics of total destruction and threatening civilians by means of war crimes, resulted in one of the biggest human migration waves in recent decades. By April 2024, the war had forced 3.5 million citizens of Ukraine into internal displacement, while 6.4 million fled abroad. Much of this migration resulted from the destruction of over two million housing units, creating challenges in housing and supporting displaced persons (IOM Ukraine, Zvit pro vnutrishnye peremishchennya naselennya v Ukrayini.
