This commentary critically examines the findings of the chapter on IB textbooks and syllabi based on my own experiences as a scholar and teacher of global management and business history. The content of these books and courses seems almost completely devoid of the history of globalization and international business as a phenomenon. This is surprising given the well-respected scholarship on the evolution of IB and multinationals, repeated calls for more history in the discipline, and my own teaching experience. There is hope if the example of other areas of management is followed where history and historians have been increasingly welcomed.
