Pituitary Apoplexy
摘要
Pituitary apoplexy, a clinical syndrome secondary to abrupt hemorrhage or infarction, usually occurs in an undiagnosed pituitary adenoma. Severe headache of sudden onset is the most common presenting symptom, sometimes associated with visual disturbances or ocular palsy. Pituitary apoplexy can result in hypopituitarism. In this chapter, we will discuss the diagnosis and management of pituitary apoplexy in hospitalized patients.
