However, questions have been raised about product quality, safety, and the presence of pathogens, especially antibiotic-resistant bacteria. To ensure the microbiological safety of cosmetic goods, strict monitoring and restrictions for manufacture and sale are required. Cosmetic products can be subjected to microbial contamination from a variety of sources throughout the production process and everyday usage, including raw ingredients, processing equipment, the environment, water, and manufacturing staff. Manufacturers must prioritize quality control, regulatory compliance, research, education, and timely reporting of adverse product incidents to ensure microbiological safety. Efforts to combat microbiological contamination will increase customer trust in cosmetic goods and assure their sustained safety. Green packaging can have a strong impact in this because it uses eco-friendly designs and biodegradable, sustainable materials to decrease waste and lessen environmental effects, which is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition to guaranteeing product safety and microbial prevention, it favors SDG objectives for climate action, responsible consumerism, and environmental conservation by substituting traditional plastics with recyclable and biodegradable alternatives.
