This study was conducted to reveal the relationship between technostressTechnostress and ESG (Environment, Social, and GovernanceGovernance) in the business world. Besides definition of technostressTechnostress and ESG concepts, the impact of technostressTechnostress, which is one of the growing dangers of today’s world, on the sustainability of businesses and the measures that businesses can take against technostressTechnostress are discussed. The main goal of businesses is to make a profit, and they try to make a profit by gaining sustainable competitive advantageSustainable competitive advantage. The ability of businesses to achieve sustainable competitive advantageSustainable competitive advantage depends on many factors. Business-related factorsBusiness-related factors, situational factorsSituational factors, individual factorsIndividual factors affect the sustainable competitive advantageSustainable competitive advantage of enterprises. TechnostressTechnostress has an intense relationship with these three key factors that affect sustainable competitive advantageSustainable competitive advantage. In today’s world, where technologyTechnology is increasingly integrated into all life, we encounter the negative effects of technologyTechnology as well as its good aspects. While businesses integrate technologyTechnology into processes to increase their performance, employees necessarily interact with technologyTechnology intensively. Outside of work, individuals use e-commerce or other applications to meet their daily needs while trying to meet their psychological needs through technological tools such as social media. As can be seen, individuals have interacted intensively with technologyTechnology both in the business environment and in their living spaces outside of work, and this interaction is increasing. Today, we can see some of the dark side of technologyTechnology, but if the interaction continues to increase in this way, it is almost impossible to predict the consequences of this interaction in the future. The danger of technostressTechnostress, which is seen as a threat to sustainable competitive advantageSustainable competitive advantage for businesses, is more complex. Because businesses both need technologyTechnology and have to meet this need in a delicate balance. In this study, the relationship between technostressTechnostress and sustainability was tried to be revealed based on the literature review. The study also suggested several strategies that businesses can use to combat technostressTechnostress. Stakeholders of businesses can be involved in decision-making processes with participatory processes. It is also recommended that businesses make their technological transformations within the framework of ESG criteria. In addition, the need for a governanceGovernance process in which all stakeholders participate is emphasized.
