This research explores the application of Markerless Augmented Reality (AR) technology to revolutionize interior home design, providing users with an immersive and interactive experience. The proposed system employs modern technologies, leveraging React Native and Viro React frameworks to create a cross-platform mobile application for AR-based interior design. The major steps of the proposed method include the utilization of Markerless AR components such as plane detection, 3D model rendering, and object detection. React Native serves as the front-end cross-platform application framework, while Viro React provides the necessary APIs for AR functionalities. This combination allows users to seamlessly place virtual furniture in their physical environment, facilitating real-time adjustments and visualizations. The research highlights the continuous evolution of AR technology, with the incorporation of machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms optimizing crucial aspects like place detection, object recognition, motion tracking, depth sensing, light estimation, and anchor placements. The proposed AR system demonstrates its capability to overlay virtual furniture seamlessly onto real-world spaces. Furthermore, potential improvements involve integrating image-based 3D object reconstruction techniques, allowing users to scan furniture items comprehensively and generate accurate 3D models. This enhancement aims to provide users with a more detailed and realistic representation of their selected furniture pieces. This research contributes to the evolving landscape of AR applications in the domain of interior design, offering a promising avenue for future advancements and innovations.
