Meet the Integrator, the Traditionalist, and the Rebel
摘要
In this chapter, we introduce the three personas that emerge in hybrid workplaces: the Integrator, the Traditionalist, and the Rebel. We describe three psychological factors that push employees into one of these personas: reactions to the empty office, mix messaging from leadership, ability to adapt to the home-office switching that hybrid requires. We show that employees who realized that hybrid allowed them to succeed at both life and work “for the first time in my life” adopted the Integrator persona; that employees who realized that work-from-home pushed them to work ten-plus hours a day and who came to value the clear work-life separation that the office affords developed into Traditionalists; that employees who’s “eyes were opened” to the lip service society pays to life and family, versus society’s true devotion to work and productivity, adopted the Rebel persona.
