While the previous chapters deal with singularities of complex analytic spaces, resp. germs, and mappings between them, in this chapter we give an overview of some aspects of singularities of algebraic varieties and formal power series defined over a field of arbitrary characteristic. Much of the material treated here has an analog in the previous chapters over the complex numbers, but the results are often significantly different and, in any case, require a different proof.

摘要

While the previous chapters deal with singularities of complex analytic spaces, resp. germs, and mappings between them, in this chapter we give an overview of some aspects of singularities of algebraic varieties and formal power series defined over a field of arbitrary characteristic. Much of the material treated here has an analog in the previous chapters over the complex numbers, but the results are often significantly different and, in any case, require a different proof.
