In this chapter we explore the Arduino PLC IDE. We begin with a review of the five PLC programming languages specified within the IEC IEC61131–3 standard and available within the Arduino PLC IDE. We then narrow our focus and concentrate on ladder logic programming. We explore, download, and configure the Arduino PLC IDE and related tools. We then explore the fundamentals of ladder logic PLC programming. The fundamentals are used to complete a series of examples.
