The internet has become the number one platform for cyber criminals to conduct their attacks for profit or exercise their newly designed tools on targeted organizations to track the effectiveness of their tools to better improve their tactics. This paper explores types of malwares throughout the past years that have evolved with technology, the techniques that were, or are currently being used with the malware, vulnerabilities within the hardware, software used by organizations, and mitigations on devices that can better protect end user devices.
