Advanced Production Planning System for Multiperiod Production Smoothing Problem

This research introduces the development of the Advanced Production Planning System (APPS), a comprehensive solution for the multiperiod production smoothing problem. The APPS aims to enhance production efficiency, minimize output fluctuations, and optimize resource utilization by leveraging advanced algorithms and optimization techniques. By incorporating Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) and tools such as the PuLP library and Plotly, the system generates optimal production plans that balance production levels with customer demand while considering capacity constraints and inventory levels. The APPS streamlines processes with key features, including temporary worker policies, capacity planning, and inventory management, supported by an intuitive interface for seamless user interaction. A comparative analysis against the LINGO Solver demonstrates that the APPS delivers consistent and reliable results while offering enhanced adaptability and efficiency. The findings underscore the system's potential to transform production operations, particularly in environments characterized by variable demand and production challenges.
