Many older adults are at risk of developing hypothermia or becoming dehydrated, both of which can be dangerous conditions requiring hospitalization. This paper describes the development and evaluation of a novel support system, Hypothermia and Dehydration Advising Companion (HyDeAdCo), that integrates a social robot with off-the-shelf technologies within an IoT infrastructure, to help reduce the risk of older adults becoming hypothermic or dehydrated.
