Digital Transformation Strategies: Comparative Impacts on White-Collar and Blue-Collar Workers in Austria
摘要
This study examines how implementing digital transformation strategies (DTS) in Austria is reshaping blue-collar and white-collar employees. Organizational culture, job descriptions, and required skills all change in a digitally transforming workplace. The research describes how DTS affects the digital skills of various workers and contributes to a widening digital divide. Some of the recommendations made by the authors for DTS implementation include expansionary policies such as inclusive hiring, workforce upskilling programs, and other institutional mechanisms for those who are already getting it right in order to bridge skill gaps. Third, the authors offer suggestions for how DTS might be expanded further and speculate about its potential future economic impacts.
