Study on the Influence of Cyclic Wave Load on the Dynamic Characteristics of Zhoushan Sand

The influence of cyclic loading frequency on the liquefaction characteristics of saturated sand holds significant engineering value. However, an authoritative conclusion regarding the effect of loading frequency on the liquefaction characteristics of saturated siliceous soil has not yet been established. A series of undrained cyclic shear tests under wave loading conditions were conducted on saturated Zhoushan marine sand. The test results indicate that, under the given wave loading straincontrolled loading mode, the pore pressure fluctuates upwards, exhibiting instantaneous oscillations and a monotonic increase in cumulative effects. The axial stress amplitude and shear stress amplitude gradually decreasing with the development of cycle time, and stabilizing under the influence of elasticity and strain after liquefaction. The increase in axial strain amplitude reduce the time required for liquefaction of the specimen. The higher frequency value results in a greater inhibitory effect of inertia forces on pore pressure generation in the specimen. And there is a linear relationship between ue’ and dissipated energy W for each cycle.
