Mental health treatment in primary care settings through Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) often involves brief behavioral and cognitive intervention. Although these interventions have strong empirical evidence in outpatient settings, the evidence base is more limited but growing in IBH settings. This chapter discusses common core components of treatment in IBH as well as the implementation of common behavioral and cognitive interventions for the treatment of several presenting problems in primary care settings. This includes behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques for feeding and eating disorders, tantrum behavior, noncompliance, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), toileting, habitual behaviors, sleep problems, depression and anxiety-related disorders, and chronic pain. IBH services also have support for improving general health and overall mental health. Providing these interventions through IBH can increase access to mental health services and equity of care.

摘要
