The purpose of this chapter is to provide details on some recent advances [1, 2], for the fully automated, non-destructive analysis of paint artworks, with respect to the identification of the pigments in the paint stratigraphies. The considered input data are UV/Vis/nIR/mIR diffuse reflectance spectra, measured in Regions of Interest (ROIs) of the paint artwork under study. The ideas can be almost straightforwardly extended for spectra of other kinds, such as transmittance spectra.

摘要

The purpose of this chapter is to provide details on some recent advances [1, 2], for the fully automated, non-destructive analysis of paint artworks, with respect to the identification of the pigments in the paint stratigraphies. The considered input data are UV/Vis/nIR/mIR diffuse reflectance spectra, measured in Regions of Interest (ROIs) of the paint artwork under study. The ideas can be almost straightforwardly extended for spectra of other kinds, such as transmittance spectra.
