Children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can experience a wide range of challenges in their social development, communication, behavior, cognition, and environmental interaction. This chapter will address the identification and management of ASD through several cases and questions, with a particular emphasis on the varying ways ASD can present in the school setting and the best steps for intervention.
