Special Considerations in the Young Female Athlete
摘要
With the increase in the number of female students participating in a wide variety of sports, typical injury patterns are more likely to be seen in females than males. In this chapter, we will identify several injuries and conditions that are more commonly seen in pediatric female athletes, discuss the Female Athlete Triad and Relative Energy Deficiency, and define the role that school-based health care providers, coaches, and athletic trainers can play in identifying and educating athletes and their families.
