Back pain is a common presenting symptom in pediatric and adolescent patients with a wide range of causes. Onset of pain, mechanism of injury, associated symptoms, and physical exam guide evaluation and treatment. This chapter will present two different cases of pediatric patients with back pain and discuss initial assessment and management utilizing an evidence-based approach.
