Dental Injuries
摘要
Organized sports and recreational activities have grown in popularity for children and adolescents. In 2019, it was estimated that more than 44 million US children participated in organized sport teams and recreational activities (Montero et al., Clin Pediatr 58:1262–1270, 2019). Participation in some of these activities can create an increase in risk for traumatic dental injuries (TDIs) as a result of falls, collisions, and contact with sports equipment.
