Periodic interactions in optical waveguides result in exchange of power among different spatial modes and different polarizations in waveguides and are used in realization of many integrated photonic devices. Coupled mode theory analysis of both co-directional as well as contradirectional coupling is presented.

摘要

Periodic interactions in optical waveguides result in exchange of power among different spatial modes and different polarizations in waveguides and are used in realization of many integrated photonic devices.
