Introduction
摘要
In this brief introduction, we provide a recent scenario to help the reader understand the concept of ‘incident command’ and why this form of policing—albeit under-researched and ill-understood by many—is an important aspect of policing and public security. We then briefly touch on the origins and subsequent development of incident command before presenting the research and data that inform this book. Finally, we conclude with a short overview of the book’s structure and chapter contents to set the stage for the pages to come.
