The research relies on the methodological foundation of the 4-component instrumental model designed for enhancing Emotional Intelligence. This model, tailored to suit the entrepreneurial and business context, comprises four key elements: Self-Awareness (SA), Self-Management (SM), Social-Awareness (SocA), and Relationship Management (RM). The quantitative method was chosen to collect quantifiable data from students and conduct tests in an objective way. EI is measured with “Emotional Intelligence in Business” questionnaire. The data was collected through Google Forms. The study involved students from Third Age Institutes in Slovakia (Comenius University in Bratislava) and Ukraine (Institutions of Higher Education). A high level of EI in business of seniors in Slovakia and Ukraine was found. High indicators and uneven distribution were revealed among seniors in Ukraine. The practical value of this study lies in demonstrating the possibility of building a statistical EI Profile of generations in different countries and in the possibility of using the results for the further development of seniors’ skills in a university. The assessment of SA, SM, SocA, RM in business can provide a deeper understanding problem-oriented education at universities.
