This work is devoted to the research of a wooden needle case containing needles inside a basement of an estate on the Eski-Kermen plateau. The purpose of the present work was to imaging of the needle case internal structure and the location of the inserts, as well as material of the needles study. X-ray and neutron tomography methods were used to study the internal structure of the needle case. The elemental composition of the needles was analyzed by X-ray fluorescence. It was found that all ten needles were made of iron. Six needles are stuck with their eyes down, as can be seen from the imaging. The study made it possible to characterize the needle case as a wooden closed vertical item with a wooden stopper plug at the bottom.

摘要
