This chapter discusses the role of data visualization in biomedicine. As the volume and complexity of biological information continue to expand, effective visualization techniques have become valuable tools for simplifying presentation of complex datasets and identifying patterns relevant to biological processes, drug discovery, and disease diagnosis [1].
