Studying the Pantheon \(+\) SH0ES dataset, we found a dipole in the luminosity distance relation: its amplitude is partially in agreement with the kinematic dipole present in the cosmic microwave background, while its direction differs significantly by more than \(3\sigma \) . A bulk motion larger than the standard \(\Lambda \) CDM expectation arises as a possible explanation.
