We extent to tilted perturbed Bianchi universes earlier studies in tilted almost-Friedmann cosmologies, claiming that relative-motion effects can locally lead to the illusion of cosmic acceleration. The aim is to investigate whether and to what extent the generic anisotropy of the Bianchi models could change the aforementioned results. We find that, although new degrees of freedom are inevitably introduced, the main picture remains unchanged for all practical purposes. Observers living in Bianchi universes with a realistic degree of anisotropy can still experience apparent local acceleration in a universe that is globally decelerating.
