Pediatric Triage in the Disaster Setting
摘要
This chapter introduces triage rationale and common algorithms used in disasters and mass casualty incidents (MCIs), such as START, JumpSTART, and SALT. This chapter further explains the approach to disaster site management and mass casualty management. The principles of the multi-sector rescue chain lay out the individual components of effective disaster mitigation for each entity implicated. Specific functions of providers and their roles in this process are described for each step in the chain. Finally, the chapter ends with specific response details relevant to hospitals during an MCI.
