In this study, the catering odor generating device was designed and its performance was estimated. The results showed that the flow field of the straight pipe generated by the generating device was uniform by computational fluid dynamics software. The experiment indicated that the oil concentration increased with the rising of oil temperature, there was a positive correlation between the oil fume concentration and the odor concentration, and the rotational speed and the fan volume almost had no effect on the oil concentration. Moreover, both the stability and uniformity of the generating device were less than 5%, which indicated that it could be used as the standard catering odor generating device in the future.
