Suturing Following Mandibular Third Molar Extraction
摘要
The extraction of impacted or partially impacted mandibular third molars typically requires the creation of a full-thickness mucoperiosteal flap and removal of surrounding mandibular bone due to the obstruction of surrounding teeth, bone, and soft tissue. There remains a difference in opinion in the literature regarding the technique of wound closure and ideal suture material to be used after removal of mandibular third molars.
