This study proposes a research framework to evaluate the impact of job satisfaction, ethical work climate, career advancement opportunities, and other factors on turnover intention among IT professionals in Bangladesh, with Islamic Work Ethics (IWE) as a moderating variable. The analysis reveals that both hygiene factors (such as salary and work conditions) and motivational factors (career advancement and job satisfaction) significantly affect turnover intentions. Poor work conditions and inadequate salaries are linked with higher turnover, while opportunities for advancement and job satisfaction are linked with lower turnover. Moreover, IWE strengthens the negative relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intention, indicating that employees with strong Islamic work values are more likely to stay when satisfied. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating culturally informed values like IWE into retention strategies, to better cater to the workforce in Bangladesh’s IT sector.
