A Study on Work-Life Balance of Women Employees in IT Sector Post-COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic did impact whole of the human kind, many women work-life balance severely disrupted in their personal and work sectors. The balance was not that easy, it was difficult for women who was with elderly people and children to manage it both sides, this led to imbalance and stress. The pandemic COVID-19, it affected many women employees when gender disparities occurred, with it even it caregiving responsibilities doubled because of school closures and taking care of family members. Global survey by Deloitte, conveyed in its report that women who had experienced drastic changes in their day to day routines conveyed that due to the COVID-19 pandemic that their career advancement had slow down. The study has also revealed that working women, especially working mothers have to prioritize on many things like postpartum mental and emotional balance plays a major role and it is difficult to balance with leaves and childcare as well. In this senior employees face a lot of responsibilities to manage and consider the employees. In a research few faculties expressed that during the pandemic female faculties experienced a decline in work-life balance and an increase in domestic responsibilities compared to their male counterparts. The study also revealed that institutional support during the pandemic was very helpful in balancing work-life, and it was also addressed pressing issues and ensuring the professional success of women in the post-pandemic world.
