Practices and Principles for the Application of Public Sector Communication in Selected Ethiopian Public Sectors
摘要
This chapter explores the role of public sector communication in Ethiopia, focusing on practices and principles that enhance effective governance and public engagement. Through a mixed-methods approach, the study examines the communication strategies employed by Ethiopian public sector organizations, identifying gaps in transparency, stakeholder engagement, and message clarity. The findings reveal that while communication efforts aim to support democratic governance and development, systemic challenges such as resource constraints and political interference hinder their effectiveness. The chapter concludes with practical recommendations for improving public sector communication, including capacity building, ethical guidelines, and leveraging digital tools.
