This paper proposes a holonic architecture, using the Activity-Resource-Type-Instance (ARTI) reference architecture for coordinating resources in a fruit treatment facility to effectively execute processes and tasks within the facility’s operational context. A set of requirements for such a system is formulated after considering the fruit treatment facility context. The design of the architecture is guided by four holonic design principles: Specialization vs Generalization; Mirror the World of Interest; Self-Similarity; and Complexity of Interaction. The integration of these design principles is also discussed, along with mentions of other design considerations.

摘要

This paper proposes a holonic architecture, using the Activity-Resource-Type-Instance (ARTI) reference architecture for coordinating resources in a fruit treatment facility to effectively execute processes and tasks within the facility’s operational context. A set of requirements for such a system is formulated after considering the fruit treatment facility context. The design of the architecture is guided by four holonic design principles: Specialization vs Generalization; Mirror the World of Interest; Self-Similarity; and Complexity of Interaction. The integration of these design principles is also discussed, along with mentions of other design considerations.
