A Concept for a Data Operating Platform for a Process Technology Research Environment as Step Towards a Universal Platform
摘要
This paper introduces a concept for a platform designed to manage, analyze, and visualize research data, marking an initial step towards creating a universal and modular research data management system. The platform’s initial use case involves a laboratory, conducting research on machining ceramic matrix composites. During the experiments, various types of data, including sensor recordings, images, and tabular datasheets, are generated. These data need to be ingested, analyzed, visualized, stored, and made searchable. The current concept primarily focuses on data storage: images and spreadsheets are stored in an S3 bucket, sensor data are housed in a Data Lakehouse, and metadata necessary for search functionality is maintained in a relational database.
