Core Cardiac Ultrasound
摘要
Cardiac point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is a useful tool for physicians evaluating an array of cardiac pathologies. POCUS can reliably evaluate left ventricular systolic function, as well as identify pericardial effusions and assess for tamponade. In this chapter, we will review the standard cardiac windows, followed by techniques to evaluate left ventricular ejection fraction, pericardial effusions and cardiac tamponade, and the inferior vena cava.
