Application of Nanoclay in Battery and Energy Storage

Energy storage is critical to modern life, enabling the incorporation of portable electronics, electric vehicles, and renewable energy. Researchers have explored various materials and technologies to meet the growing demand for high-performance energy storage systems. One promising area of investigation (or that has been broadly investigated) is the application of nanoclays in battery and energy storage systems. An overview of the use of nanoclays as an innovative and sustainable material for enhancing the functioning and safety of batteries and energy storage devices is provided in this chapter. We discuss the systems synthesis methods and their specified applications in energy storage, including Lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, and beyond.
