To improve their institutional commitment and internal campus operations, higher Education Institutions (HEIs) have developed new tools and implemented programmes to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. In this sense, energy management became one of the focal points of institutional management to improve the environmental footprint and simultaneously contribute to the reduction of institutional expenditure. In this work, a diagnosis and next energy analysis of an administrative building of the Universidad Nacional de General Sarmiento (Buenos Aires, Argentina) is carried out to determine the management trend between 2015 and 2022. The indicators used for the analysis are those provided by the ReSOLVE and DISRUPT frameworks of the Circular Economy, adapted to an institutional context. The information for the energy diagnosis is based on a survey of the structures of the building taken as a case of analysis. Through the construction of the trend scenarios, the replacement of LED lights and the virtualisation of administrative activities improved the Institution's energy footprint. Results obtained after the construction of the future scenarios showed that the following actions are relevant for energy care and reduction programmes: application of automatic switch-on and switch-off devices; collaborative work; and the institutionalization of improvement and environmental management programmes.
