In case of orthotopic liver transplantation with preservation of the caval flow, several methods of graft-to-inferior vena cava implantation are possible (side-to-side, end-to-side, two- or three-vein piggyback anastomosis). Standard portal reconstruction was defined by graft portal vein to native portal vein anastomosis. Standard arterial reconstruction was defined by graft hepatic artery to native hepatic artery anastomosis. Standard biliary reconstruction was defined by biliary-biliary anastomosis.
