Chapter 8: Community Radio Practitioners provides a comprehensive overview of the participants in community radio stations. Through the dynamics of internal and external communities, insight into those who actively participate to ensure the sustainability of these initiatives and those who support the initiatives but are not directly involved is provided. Furthermore, sustainability of human resources is addressed through motivation and mobilisation activities. Finally, capacity building and sharing activities for practitioners to ensure knowledge sharing and quality programming are also highlighted. Each of these key thematic areas is addressed individually under each country and then a consolidated overview is provided for an understanding across the South Asia region.
