This Chapter presents the secondary data gathered through desk review as of December 2017. It highlights the technique and framework developed for analysing community radio in Nepal, India, and Bangladesh based on an international understanding of the alternative mediascape. The mapping presents general information about each country and initiative-specific information about the then-active 519 community radio stations in the three countries. The work done for this chapter has resulted in the first-ever South Asian Community Media Database (CMD) Version 01.
